Custom React Native / React web plugins
in progress
H
Harri Sarsa
Make it possible to add a custom React Native / React web plugin via a GitHub repository, so that the plugin also tells Composer the view components / flow functions / required build service settings it provides.

Would this enable the addition of 3rd party SDK's into AppGyver builds?
If so, I agree that this would be a great addition!

Harri Sarsa Any update on this? So many features I want to implement are shelved waiting for this update. Hopefully soon?

Any more updates on this? So keen to implement so many things and don’t want to use any other builder :)

Mohit Chandak: it was planned for release in Q2 last time i checked, but now is set to Q3. So yeah, maybe next year.

I'm cheered for this...

The day this finally releases will be the day I take a few days off from work to implement so many different things. Imagine the possibilities.
* Installing text components which can directly embed videos and images just by pasting in links rather than having to build out our more current limited method.
* Bringing onboard ad platforms (critical for app monetization).
* Analytics and stats support.
* Alternative compression methods for optimizing images and video.
* User-implemented desktop-based versions of all the advanced logic functions (take picture with device, record video from webcam) that either don't exist or are currently mobile-exclusive.
* Anti-spam and bot measures that you don't have to hard-code in.
Custom plugins would officially launch AppGyver into the ranks of truly viable, full-support app builders. The fact that it's free forever (unless you choose to upgrade) would probably make it among the best no-code/low-code web software for indie devs on a steep budget.
Come on now. Let's go, cowboys and girls.

Dominik Greene: Hi, sounds awesome functionalities to have! any updates regarding the development of these features?
D
Dominik Greene
Codling Perfect: Hey, like yourself, I'm just another user, so I can't really say much on when this will truly be supported. Best I have is a screen grab from the AG Beta Slack channel from Harri a few days ago implying a possible Q2 2022 release. That means, if true, any point from now until the end of June. We'll see.

Getting concerned that this may have been shelved given that it is no longer on their public development roadmap...
J
Jaroslav Krajča
Chris Revell: I am pretty sure that AppGyver does work on it as they realize how much value that can provide to their users now and in the future. There's gonna be released runtime 4.X soon, so let's hope some BETA part of it will be released along. :)

Chris Revell see Harri's comment from December – the feature has certainly not been shelved. :)
