Custom React Native / React web plugins
planned
H
Harri Sarsa
Make it possible to add a custom React Native / React web plugin via a GitHub repository, so that the plugin also tells Composer the view components / flow functions / required build service settings it provides.

Any more updates on this? So keen to implement so many things and don’t want to use any other builder :)

Its been forever, is this ever coming?

Mohit Chandak: it was planned for release in Q2 last time i checked, but now is set to Q3. So yeah, maybe next year.

I'm cheered for this...

The day this finally releases will be the day I take a few days off from work to implement so many different things. Imagine the possibilities.
* Installing text components which can directly embed videos and images just by pasting in links rather than having to build out our more current limited method.
* Bringing onboard ad platforms (critical for app monetization).
* Analytics and stats support.
* Alternative compression methods for optimizing images and video.
* User-implemented desktop-based versions of all the advanced logic functions (take picture with device, record video from webcam) that either don't exist or are currently mobile-exclusive.
* Anti-spam and bot measures that you don't have to hard-code in.
Custom plugins would officially launch AppGyver into the ranks of truly viable, full-support app builders. The fact that it's free forever (unless you choose to upgrade) would probably make it among the best no-code/low-code web software for indie devs on a steep budget.
Come on now. Let's go, cowboys and girls.

Dominik Greene: Hi, sounds awesome functionalities to have! any updates regarding the development of these features?
D
Dominik Greene
Codling Perfect: Hey, like yourself, I'm just another user, so I can't really say much on when this will truly be supported. Best I have is a screen grab from the AG Beta Slack channel from Harri a few days ago implying a possible Q2 2022 release. That means, if true, any point from now until the end of June. We'll see.

Getting concerned that this may have been shelved given that it is no longer on their public development roadmap...

Chris Revell: I am pretty sure that AppGyver does work on it as they realize how much value that can provide to their users now and in the future. There's gonna be released runtime 4.X soon, so let's hope some BETA part of it will be released along. :)

Chris Revell see Harri's comment from December – the feature has certainly not been shelved. :)

Just pinging to see how its going. Can't expect more when the builder is provided free and dev team is very small. But being a bootstrapper, without monetization I would not be able to pay for the backend for a long time while spending time on it as well.
So, to get an understanding how long I might have to run the show without any monetization expectation, I am just looking if there is any estimated time for this. Also wondering if by any chance this feature would be dropped or enabled with a heavy price tag/compromize.
Any transparency on this would help small developers to plan their finance and time.

Pradeep L: agree with you completely. I appreciate the fact AppGyver is supporting small and indie developers. Once we grow our ecosystem we will gladly support AppGyver by converting into a paying client. SAP management, are you listening?
The only way to win developer mindshare is to make the platform accessible to the masses which is what you have done. Building out a robust, flexible framework will yield returns on this investment into AppGyver.
Out of all the other low-code, no-code platforms out there I haven't seen any other initiative except for Mendix to capacitate and empower startups. Bravo. Looking forward to what's in store.

Any updates on this feature? With all the chatter here I'm surprised this isn't "In Progress" rather than "Planned". I agree with the sentiment here. This will greatly enhance the capabilities of the platform and increase adoption. I need this functionality and I'm willing to convert to a paying customer.

Thanks again for all the hard work - This would be really nice, and significantly extend the scope and utility for AppGyver :-))
